I may not be the typical Personal Trainer you were expecting. I spent many years in IT managing projects and managing teams and now I’m here to help you get fitter, healthier, leaner, build up – whatever your goals are.

My approach is professional and friendly. We need to get on well with each other if we’re going to work together, but I may also need to tell you some uncomfortable truths from time to time.
I like to keep up to date, but don’t follow every fad that comes along preferring to follow scientific, evidence-based approaches that are practical in real life.


Getting Started - Free Consultation


In most cases I’ll suggest we meet for a coffee first of all then we can relax and talk about what you’d like to do in comfortable surroundings.

Having a chat like this is completely free of any charge or obligation. We could meet a few times before you’ve decided what you’d like to do.

If you’re new to gyms and would like someone friendly to show you around we can arrange that (see the Locations and Contact page) for details.

Any journey has to begin with knowing where your starting point is so generally, our first session in the gym together will be where I will find out more about how you are today. I’ll measure your blood pressure, weight, body fat percentage, etc. Then I’ll give you some exercises that will show me how fit and strong you are. From this I will work out a plan of action to get from how you are today to where you want to get to.


Fees


The guide price for a typical six-week programme in an open gym would be £300 (some discounted places are still available) which includes planning, preparation and support during this time. The actual fee may vary depending on what approach meets your needs best.
